Getting Started with Vibe-Motion

Beginner 5 min read Feb 2026

Welcome to your first Vibe-Motion tutorial. By the end of this guide, you will have created and exported your very own AI-generated motion graphic -- no design experience required. The entire process takes under five minutes.

Quick Start (5 Minutes)

  1. Visit higgsfield.ai/vibe-motion
  2. Register a free account
  3. Choose the "Text Animation" template
  4. Type: "Create a simple logo reveal animation"
  5. Click generate
  6. Adjust colors and speed
  7. Export and download

First project prompt:

Create a 3-second text animation:
- Text: "Welcome"
- Style: Fade in from bottom
- Color: White on dark blue background
- Font: Clean and modern

What You'll Need

Before you begin, make sure you have the following:

  • A modern web browser -- Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge. Vibe-Motion runs entirely in the browser, so there is nothing to download or install.
  • A Higgsfield AI account -- You can sign up for free at higgsfield.ai. A free account gives you access to the core creation tools and a limited number of exports per month.

That is it. No design software, no plugins, no coding knowledge. If you can type a sentence, you can create motion graphics with Vibe-Motion.

Step 1: Access the Tool

Go to higgsfield.ai/vibe-motion in your browser. Log in with your account. If you do not have one yet, click Sign Up and create your free account using an email address or Google login. Once signed in, select the Vibe Motion app from the dashboard.

The Vibe-Motion interface is split into two main areas:

  • Chat panel (left) -- This is where you type prompts and have a conversation with the AI to describe and refine your animation.
  • Canvas (right) -- This is the live preview area where your motion graphic renders in real-time as the AI generates it.

Step 2: Choose Creation Type

When you create a new project, Vibe-Motion presents you with several creation types. Each one is optimized for a specific type of motion graphic:

Type Description
Infographics Animated charts, graphs, statistics, and data-driven stories
Text Animation Kinetic typography, title sequences, animated quotes
Posters Static posters transformed into dynamic visuals for social posts and ads
Presentation Animated slides with transitions and data visualizations
From Scratch Complete creative freedom with no template constraints

For your first project, we recommend starting with Text Animation or Infographics -- they produce impressive results quickly and are a great way to learn how the tool works.

Step 3: Use the Chat Interface

This is where the magic happens. In the chat panel, type a description of the animation you want to create. The AI will interpret your prompt and generate the motion graphic on the canvas in real-time. Vibe-Motion supports prompts in multiple languages, including English and Chinese.

Here are some example prompts to get you started:

Create a 5-second animated title that says "Hello World" in bold white
text on a dark blue background. The text should fade in letter by letter
with a slight bounce effect.
Design an animated bar chart showing monthly sales data:
January: $12K, February: $18K, March: $24K, April: $31K.
Use a modern style with green bars that grow upward one at a time.
Make an animated social media post for a coffee shop grand opening.
Include the text "Now Open" with steam rising from a coffee cup icon.
Use warm brown and cream colors.

Chinese prompts work too:

创建一个 5 秒的文字动画,显示 "Hello World",
带有淡入效果和微妙的缩放动画
制作一个数据可视化动画,展示月度销售增长

Tips for Writing Good Prompts

The quality of your output depends heavily on how you describe what you want:

  • Be specific about content -- State exactly what text, data, or elements should appear in the animation.
  • Describe the style -- Mention colors, fonts, mood, and visual style (e.g., "modern and minimal," "bold and colorful").
  • Specify motion -- Describe how elements should move: fade in, slide from left, bounce, scale up, rotate.
  • Set constraints -- Include duration (e.g., "5 seconds"), aspect ratio (e.g., "16:9"), and any technical requirements.
  • Reference a use case -- Mention where the animation will be used (Instagram story, presentation, YouTube intro) so the AI can optimize the format.

Pro tip: You don't need to get everything perfect in your first prompt. Vibe-Motion is designed for iterative refinement -- start with the basics and adjust through conversation.

Step 4: Upload Assets (Optional)

Vibe-Motion allows you to upload your own assets to incorporate into your animation. This ensures the AI builds the animation based on your actual files, not generic placeholders. Supported file types include:

  • Images -- Logos, product photos, backgrounds, and brand assets.
  • PDFs -- Research papers, report documents, and reference materials that the AI can extract content from.
  • Videos -- Reference materials and clips you want to incorporate or use as inspiration.

Key benefit: When you upload your own files, the AI builds the animation based on your actual assets. Your logos appear crisp, your brand colors are accurate, and your data is real -- not generic placeholder content.

Step 5: Apply Templates (Recommended)

For faster results, take advantage of Vibe-Motion's built-in templates. Templates come with complex animation logic already built in, so you do not need to describe every transition and timing detail from scratch.

Why use templates:

  • Pre-built animation logic -- Templates include sophisticated transitions, easing curves, and timing that would take many prompts to describe manually.
  • Just replace the content -- Swap out the placeholder text, colors, and images with your own. The animation structure stays intact.
  • Saves significant time -- What might take 10-15 minutes of iterative prompting can be accomplished in under 2 minutes with a template.

Browse the template library after selecting your creation type. You can preview each template before applying it. Once applied, use the chat interface to customize it further.

Step 6: Real-Time Adjustments

Beyond the chat interface, Vibe-Motion provides direct UI controls for fine-tuning your animation in real time.

UI Controls

  • Click on any text element to select it
  • Modify font, color, and size directly
  • Adjust backgrounds and layout
  • Drag elements to reposition them

Animation Controls

  • Use the animation speed slider to control pacing
  • Higher values = fast and powerful animations
  • Lower values = smooth and fluid animations
  • Preview changes in real time on the canvas

Use the chat for major creative changes and the UI controls for precise visual adjustments. The combination gives you both natural-language convenience and pixel-level control.

Step 7: Choose Color Scheme

Vibe-Motion includes built-in color scheme presets that instantly transform the look and feel of your animation:

Preset Style Best For
Mosaic Vibrant, multi-colored Playful and creative content
Prism Elegant spectrum-based Modern, tech-forward designs
Candy Soft pastel tones Lifestyle, food, beauty, social media
Custom Your brand colors (hex codes) Brand consistency across all animations

For brand work, use the Custom option to input your exact brand colors. This ensures every animation you create is on-brand without manual color adjustments each time.

Step 8: Export Video

Once you are happy with your animation, click the Export button in the top-right corner of the canvas to open the export dialog.

Setting Options Details
Format MP4 Standard video format, compatible with all platforms
Resolution Up to 4K 720p, 1080p, or 4K (3840x2160)
Delivery Download or Share Download the file or share via generated link

Resolution options:

  • 720p (1280x720) -- Fastest export, good for drafts and previews.
  • 1080p (1920x1080) -- Standard HD, suitable for most social media and presentations.
  • 4K (3840x2160) -- Maximum quality for broadcast, large displays, and professional use. Available on paid plans.

Select your preferred resolution, then click Export. The rendering process typically takes a few seconds for short animations. Once complete, the file downloads automatically.

Tips for Better Results

After working through the steps above, here are five actionable tips for consistently better output:

  1. Start simple, then layer. Begin with the core elements (text, shapes, colors) and add motion, effects, and complexity in subsequent messages. This gives the AI a solid foundation.
  2. Use reference language. Describe styles using references the AI understands: "Apple keynote style," "minimal and clean like Stripe's website," or "bold and energetic like a Nike ad."
  3. Specify exact colors. Instead of saying "blue," say "deep navy blue (#1a1a4e)" or "bright electric blue (#3B82F6)." Hex codes remove ambiguity.
  4. Describe timing explicitly. "The title fades in over 0.5 seconds, holds for 2 seconds, then the subtitle appears." Precise timing produces polished animations.
  5. Review at full speed before exporting. Always play back your animation at normal speed from start to finish before exporting. Timing issues are easier to spot at full playback speed.
